Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Majel is a sweet, sometimes shy, girl around 2-3 years old. She was pulled from a shelter is poor condition - bony and hungry, flea and tick infestation, worms, and, PREGNANT. A few days after being placed in a foster home she gave birth to 8 healthy puppies. She devoted herself to caring for the puppies; Once they were all adopted she started putting on weight, and her whole condition has improved dramatically. Majel is good with other dogs, children, and cats (she largely ignores them). She is loving and loyal; her favorite napping spot is a pile of sweaters from her foster mom. Now that she is feeling better, she likes to play, and she is especially fond of squeaky toys. At times, Majel can be a little mischievous, mostly pulling out every toy from her box. She is house broken, and knows sit. We are working on come, stay, and down. Since Majel is so sweet she would fit in either a busy household with kids to play with her, or as a single dog where she can lovingly devote herself to one person.
Majel was heart-worm positive when pulled from the shelter, but she has completed her treatment and is now heart-worm free, healthy and happy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and current on trifexis. You can fill out an application for this sweet and sensitive girl here: http://forrescue.net/dog-application/. She is located in Huntsville, AL, but is available for adoption in your area!
