Grey Goose's Story...
Grey Goose has a thing for playing with his siblings (Jameson, Jack Daniels & Moonshine) tails! He is extremely sweet and incredibly fearless – will run up full speed to greet me while purring loudly. He will win your heart in the first few minutes! He loves to observe his siblings during play and is always ready to pounce and join in the fun. He will run up and greet you while purring! He is very easy going and will come to you when he is ready for some good loving and taking naps on your lap. Loves being around people.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and either come to an adoption event or arrange to meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grey Goose, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
