A Little Bit About Me

Shadow is nothing if not round! But we think the most striking thing about her is her sweet personality. This rotund lady just loves people and has even gotten along with other cats (although she is NOT a fan of dogs). If you're looking for a laid-back, people-loving cat to hang out with you and share your life--look no further than our girl Shadow!

Shadow is a lovely, older cat with striking amber eyes and a white locket on her chest. According to her previous owner she is a calm and mellow sort of gal who enjoys playing as well as snuggling next to you.

For the past nine years, this sweet, friendly and affectionate cat lived with a family that included two adults and two children who are now older teens. There was another cat in the home, but the owner specifically mentioned that Shadow does not like dogs. We think she will do very well in a similar living situation with fit adults of any age or a family with polite children aged ten and above who will treat with her with respect.

Shadow may appreciate a small room to call her own as she adjusts to her new environment. It won't be long before this sociable kitty will be ready to check out the rest of her new home. If there's a sturdy cat tree of shelf near a sunny window, she'll be delighted to hang out in the sun puddles and watch the world go by. She has always been an indoor cat and should remain so for her own security and health.

If you're looking for a laid-back, people-loving cat to hang out with you and share your life--look no further than our girl Shadow!

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
