When you walk up to Ronnie's kennel his whole body wags with delight! He is outgoing and friendly and yet still a little shy about affection ~ while here with us, he's learning about all things good! He loves playing with toys and is very sweet. Ronnie is a little dog selective but could live with another small dog (with proper introduction) He could also live in a home with children ages 12 and older.

I am a neutered male, tan and white Chihuahua/Dachshund cross.

I am estimated to be about 2 years and 1 month old.

I weigh approximately 13 pounds.

I have been at the shelter since 09/22/2016.

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
