Facts about Midnight

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (Mostly)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Midnight is one BIG, sweet, handsome declawed boy. He is only 3 years old and lost his eye from a severe infection. Yes he has been through a lot in just his short life, but that does not prevent him from being a loyal, loving companion. He is also very playful, his favorite toy being string. Most of the time he just would prefer snuggling next to you or on your lap. Can you give him a chance, you won't regret it! Midnight gets along with other cats, and would be best in a home without dogs. Since he is declawed he needs an indoor only home.

The adoption fee is $70 which covers all the vet work that has been done including Feline Leukemia and FIV Test, microchip, plus for kittens their spay/neuter when old enough. For more information or an adoption application please contact

About Humane Society of Wilkes

About Our Rescue Group...

The Humane Society of Wilkes is a volunteer organization. We do not have a shelter, but we work to rescue as many pets as possible from the county kill shelter. We are dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, and the education of the public regarding humane treatment of animals. We support these goals through our member dues, tax-deductible donations, and fund-raising projects such as our annual Best Friends Calendar and booths at the Brushy Mountain Apple Festival. With these funds we have been able to: place billboards around the county encouraging spaying and neutering of pets, provide Kind News subscriptions to all kindergarten, first and second grade classrooms in Wilkes County, and work closely with Wilkes County Animal Control to place pets from their shelter into appropriate homes. We also help to pay for spaying and neutering of pets for residents of Wilkes County.

You can become a member. Contact membership@humanesocietyofwilkes.org. You can contact our fund-raising committee to help with fund raising projects at fundraising@humanesocietyofwilkes.org. You can contact our adoption committee to provide a foster home for a pet, or help with monthly adoption fairs at adoption@humanesocietyofwilkes.org. We receive no public funding, so monetary contributions are always greatly appreciated and are tax deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law. Contributions may be mailed to Humane Society of Wilkes, P. O. Box 306, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
