Lola's Story...
Hi there! My name's is Lola, what's yours? I'm a female chihuahua, who is around 11 months old. I was recently transferred to the shelter from another rescue group in the area that was overcrowded with dogs. I'm a bit shy, and take a little time to warm up to new people. I would do best in a home with other dogs, and without kids.

Prior to being adopted I will be up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and will also have a microchip. All I need now is someone like YOU to give me a chance and open your heart! I promise to give you all the unconditional love I can for the rest of my life! The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola, a Youngwood Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
