Freddy is a three year old gorgeous Bluetick Coonhound, weighing approximately 60lbs, who is looking for his forever home. Freddy loves people and is well socialized, he's happy and friendly, energetic, outgoing, loves to utilize his keen sense of smell, he's playful, loves attention, he has adorable soft houndy ears, he's a delightful and smart boy. He will need plenty of daily physical and mental exercise for him to be truly happy. But for folks who truly love hounds, Freddy will make the perfect addition to your family. Because of his size, kids under ten would not be appropriate. He appears to be partially housetrained, he's up to date on all his shots and is microchipped. Please give us a call if you would like to meet him.

About Rescue for North Bay Beagles

About Our Rescue Group...

Rescue for North Bay Beagles was begun in 2015 by Pamela Rosenthal, a passionate advocate for animals and especially those in need of rescue. Beagles are known for their loving, trusting and people pleasing personalities, but because of their compliant nature, they are also the breed most used by laboratories for research. Many of these dogs never have an opportunity for a happy life outside the lab, but some fortunate ones are rescued and find loving homes. This was the motivation for the start of North Bay Beagles. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit 501c3 and we are supported 100% by contributions from generous and compassionate dog lovers.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs live with foster families in Sonoma County. Meet ups are therefore arranged by appointment only, through Pamela at (707)360-7539. Since home checks are a required part of the adoption process, we are currently only serving the north bay counties, Sonoma, Napa, Marin and Solano.

Our Adoption Process...

To search for adoptive families, our dogs are posted on our website and Facebook page as soon as they have received necessary medical care. When interest in a beagle is initiated, we request that the "adopt application" on the website be completed and submitted. A thorough interview is conducted to ensure that the adopters are able to provide a safe and loving forever home. We arrange for the family to meet with the dog and if a decision is made to adopt, the dog is taken home for a two week trial period. The donation to adopt a dog is $325.00. If it does not work out within the two week period, the donation is reimbursed. We require a signed "Adoption Contract" to finalize the adoption.
