Scooby is a 3 year old male cur mix who came to us when he became too big for his owner. This boy tips the scales at 56 pounds but is gentle and affectionate to his human companions. Scooby is well rounded; he is good with children, other dogs and is amazing on a leash. He does need to find a home where feline friends are non-existent because the thrill of the chase is too much. Scooby is a huge fan of human companions and though we cannot guarantee house training, he does keep his kennel clean here at the shelter.

Scooby's adoption fee is $100.00 which covers his wellness check, age appropriate vaccinations, rabies shot and neuter surgery.
SCOOBY, Black Mouth Cur Mix has been shared from Shelter Exchange.

About Stephens County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

We are a Humane Society and Rescue organization serving Stephens County, Oklahoma and it's communities. We work closely with local municipal animal control departments in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. We stress spaying and neutering as the one key way to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Shelter is located at 714 Martin Luther King Ave., Duncan, Oklahoma 73533. Our current hours are:

Monday & Thursday : closed except for intakes
Tuesday & Friday : 12-6
Wednesday & Saturday: 12-4
Sunday: 12-2

We are closed all major Holidays

Our Adoption Process...

We use a simple adoption application/agreement. To complete the application process, we ask for reference letters from the adopting family's veterinarian and two character references. Adoption fees are $100.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. Fees include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination and age appropriate vaccinations.

We have 3 main requirements for our dog adoptions.
1- We require a fenced yard
2- If you rent, we require a letter from the landlord stating
pets are permitted in their residence.
3- If you have dogs currently, arrangements must be
made for a meet and greet to ensure all parties are
agreeable.
