**CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE BUT NEEDS A PERMANENT HOME/RESCUE SOON** ... "Zoey" is a lovely 14-year old female Husky mix who arrived at the HSOV on November 15, 2016 and was surrendered by her tearful owner the following day. "Zoey" is a beautiful lady with a classy appearance :) She has a black short smooth coat with tan highlights on her chest/legs, a long tail, and a gorgeous face with expressive brown eyes, tan eyebrows, and a tan muzzle. "Zoey" holds her right ear erect and her left ear semi-erect. She is a beauty to see in person, but her inner beauty is even more important :) "Zoey" is an affectionate girl who loves attention. She walks gently on a leash and is very well-behaved. The chronological age on Zoey's kennel card would quality her for a senior citizen discount, but we're pretty sure that she would be 'carded' for proof of her age if she asked for a senior discount :) "Zoey" is young-at-heart and does not look (or act) her age. Her previous owner told us that "Zoey" was ok with older children. "Zoey" weighs 55 lbs. She has been in foster care since early December 2016 and is still looking for a permanent home or a rescue group will offer her a safe haven. Zoey's foster mother reports that she is the perfect houseguest and gets along wonderfully with all of the dogs (small and large) in her home. "Zoey" is housebroken and enjoys time in the family's fenced-in yard with the other 'pups' <3 Please contact HSOV shelter manager (Misty Carpenter) by calling 740.373.5959 or by sending an email to if you would like to give "Zoey" the perfect home. Rescue groups may contact HSOV Canine Rescue Coordinator (Celeste Ridgway) via email (
