Zoey's Story...
"Zoey" is a beautiful 14-year old female Husky mix who arrived at the HSOV on November 15, 2016 and was surrendered by her tearful owner the following day. "Zoey" is a lovely lady with a classy appearance :) She has a black short smooth coat with tan highlights on her legs/chest, a long tail, and a gorgeous face with expressive brown eyes, tan eyebrows, and a tan muzzle. "Zoey" holds her right ear erect and her left ear semi-erect. She is a beauty to see in person, but her inner beauty is even more important :) "Zoey" is an affectionate girl who loves attention. She walks gently on a leash and is very well-behaved. The chronological age on Zoey's kennel card would qualify her for a senior citizen discount, but we're sure that she would be 'carded' for proof of her age if she asked for a senior discount :) "Zoey" is young-at-heart and certainly does not look (or act) her age. Her previous owner told us that "Zoey" was ok with older children. Zoey's sister passed away recently, and she was very bonded with her :( "Zoey" weighs 55 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a Marietta Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
