Milo is a very sweet soul who's been through a lot in his short little life, but given the right home where someone is patient and loving, he will certainly make an easy-going companion. Milo was born feral and one plan had been to return this little guy to the great outdoors, but once given the chance, it became evident that little Milo was not in fact feral, he was just extremely shy and likely hadn't always been handled very nicely. That being said, we were asked to give him a try here at Kitty Corner, and we're so glad we have! Milo is making strides daily in terms of his comfort level with different people - he appreciates a go-slow approach but loves to be petted and will relax his face into your hand for more affection. Given the right quiet home environment, someone will be very lucky to have this gentle soul by their side. Milo is estimated to have been born in early April and is neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccines. He'll do best in a calm, adult-only home where he can be given some time to adjust to yet another change in his life. If you're familiar with working with shy cats, this beautiful seal point Siamese boy will love you forever for giving him a chance. Location: Kitty Corner

About Contra Costa Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Contra Costa Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that operates such programs as Adoptions, Kitty Corner, Spay/Neuter Assistance, and AniMeals. We are not affiliated with any other rescue organization, humane society or spca.

Our mission is to empower our community to improve the quality of life for animals and decrease euthanasia rates. Through our programs and services, we connect with individuals and private and public organizations to adopt pets, reduce the number of unwanted animals, and educate the public to foster compassion, responsibility and respect towards animals.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our business office and Kitty Corner are located at 171 Mayhew Way, Suite 101 in Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.

Kitty Corner houses adult, senior, and special-needs cats (sometimes teenage kittens). Kitty Corner is open for adoptions on Saturday, Sunday & Monday from 12-3pm or during the week (preferably by appointment to make sure someone's available to show you the cats).

All of our dogs, puppies and kittens are located off-site in foster homes and can be met by appointment once adoption applications have been received and approved.

Our Adoption Process...

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep.

If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted!
