Sierra's Story...
Hey there! I’m Sierra! I’m a 4 month old spayed girl looking for a best friend. I don’t really remember life before the shelter. I’ve been here since I was just weeks old. They told me that a nice man found me as a tiny, hungry little girl and brought me here so I would be safe. I got to hang out in foster care for a while since I was so young. Foster care was exciting! It’s where I first met my kitty friend Fuji. We still play together and it’s awesome! Foster care is also where I started to trust peoples and decided that I really want a person all for myself. Doesn’t that sound purrtastic?! A best bud, a forever home with lots of toys and catnip! Yes…you should know that I have a small catnip obsession. It makes me super happy and spunky, oh boy do I love the catnip! An adorable playful girl who adores catnip and other cats… So what do you think, you wanna be my pal, my family??

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sierra, a Murphysboro Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Murphysboro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Murphysboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Murphysboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Murphysboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Murphysboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
