MEET FINNEGAN (Hypo-allergenic)

This handsome little guy was picked up as a stray, no collar, or microchip and an owner doesn't seem to be looking for him.  So Grateful Paws stepped up and took Finnegan to our Vet to be vetted; vaccinated, neutered, chipped and tested.

He is a sweetheart!  Very friendly -  Our Vet seems to think he's about 4-5 years old, weighs about 29 lbs. -- possibly a Poodle/Llasa Apso mix (but we are not sure...)  He is simply delightful!

He is sweet and gentle and can get worked up with excitement.  He want lots of attention and cuddling or he will keep trying to play and bark. He is comfortable walking a good distance on a leash and goes to the bathroom easily. He is easy to bathe and blow dry but should avoid water in the ears (he does not like to have a Qtip in the ear at all). He lunges at squirrels, cats and ducks but today when he cornered my old cat, he did not seem to want to hurt him. He saw the cat was upset so he just sat back and looked at him quizzically. He eats very well and heartily.

Adoption fee $300

Please email for an application:  info@gratefulpaws.org

NOTE: Adoption fees are applied towards the vet bill: Exam, blood tests, vaccinations, fecal, worming, spay/neuter, and microchip. There is rarely anything left over, but if that happens, the monies get applied to the next or previous pet - who may have had to have an x-ray, be groomed or have a dental.

About Grateful Paws Dog & Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of animal loving people who volunteer our time to save the life of a dog or cat in need. We are not breed specific but our ability to help depends entirely upon whether we have a foster home in which toi place the pet while we are looking for a new forever home.

We are entirely volunteer and none of us are compensated for our time or efforts. Monies donated go directy to the animals in our care.

Come Meet Our Pets...

For the most part, we reply primarily on the internet because we all work full-time jobs during the week!

We do not have a physical building - but we try to participate in Saturday adoption events from 11am - 3pm, on a regular basis. Please check our website for our most current calendar that shows where we will be. www.gratefulpaws.org.

It is always best to check the Upcoming Events page of our website www.gratefulpaws.org/upcomingevents.html

or give us a call to find out where we are going to be. Week nights 954-462-8840 eves after 8pm or on the week-ends: 954-579-3753.

Our EMAIL is monitored day and night, and is the BEST way to contact us.

Our Adoption Process...

We perform a telephone or in-person interview and ask our perspective adopters to complete an application for review by our board (generally takes a day or less). We want to meet the family, so we will come to your house to see where our pet will live. We do a vet check and if applicable, a landlord or condo association check as well. And finally, we accept an adoption donation that is applied towards the vet and care bill for that pet. The range is from $75 to $300.
