Can you get me out of jail? I promise I am innocent! I should be innocent until proven guilty.
Hello there! I am Mr Twix (or Mr T for short), but you can call me whatever you want as long as you will love me. I was half serious. I am just trying to get your attention. I do get out of my cell a few times a day like any prisoner. I was born in Kentucky. I am about 9 months old Chocolate Lab, but I am already 70 lb. I am up to date on vaccines and neutered. I am healthy and fit and I love your attention. I love to be with you, play, walk and sniff, run or hike. I am still acting like a big baby and I am very much attached to my human foster parent or any human that gives me attention. A rescue organization transferred me out of my jail cell in Kentucky to Wisconsin. I am good with other dogs and adults, but I may be too rough for small kids. I do not realize my strength and my weight. I like to play with some of the other dogs at my foster home, but I am really looking for a permanent home and parents that will love me for the rest of my life. I do get along with other dogs, but if you have other dogs I need to be fed separately for now as I am protective of my food. I will even growl at people, except those that actually feed me – I know that they are those providing me with the food and water for now so I admire them. And I eat a lot because I am still growing and I do not know if I will have to go hungry again somewhere in the woods. Nobody explain to me in a dog language that I am safe now and I will get my forever home. I do not understand it, ust like I did not understand why my first owner threw me away like a used up toy. You can understand that in the Kentucky jail I did not get the best food, so when I get good food now it is mine and only mine! So I protect it!
I like to pull on a leash because I want to smell everything! However, it is more important for me to be near you when you give me attention. It means the world to me. I can be at home in a crate for a long time, but I much prefer to be with humans all the time. I may be still a little scared that I will be given up or abandoned again. I hope you can give me a loving home where I can feel safe. Will you give me love and care? Will you be my fur-ever family? In return, I will give you my unconditional love and follow you everywhere (except when I am smelling a new yard or a new place). I am really a good boy and I do deserve to be loved and I want to love you in return, don’t you think I am handsome enough? And I do have a good personality, I just need to feel home again. Will you give me my new home for the rest of my life? Thank you, thank you, and thank you! I already feel I have a better chance at life!
