Heinness's Story...
Heinness is a young American guinea pig looking for his forever home. He is outgoing, sweet, affectionate, and loves chatting it up with other guinea pigs. He is comfortable being handled, thrilled when being cuddled, and absolutely out of this world happy when presented with the playpen that has multiple tunnels and hideouts. He joins in the demanding "give me a salad" song other guinea pigs sing at our Williamsburg, Brooklyn rescue center, but, being the trickster that he is, he eats his salad so slowly, that the other guinea pigs always end up thinking he somehow got double. You should hear them objecting while Heinness slowly continues enjoying his salad.
If ever there was a guinea pig Master of Pranks competition, Heinness would without a doubt be the strongest contender.
This charming young man loves to be petted behind his year, and will enjoy it so much, that he will flat out take a nap while you're still petting him. The only other thing that can even come close to his love of being petted and hand fed, is the intensity of his devotion to his big adopted brother Liam.

Heinness is an American Guinea Pig, around a year old, healthy, and ready for his new life to begin.
He has been introduced to Liam, and the boys quickly bonded and developed a wonderful friendship. They are now being adopt as a pair only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heinness, a Brooklyn Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
