Pepper Potts's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Pepper Potts's Story...
Pepper is a young (born approx 4.24.15) spayed female Akita. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, on flea/heartworm prevention, house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. Pepper comes to us from a shelter in Tennessee where she was surrendered because she was chasing her previous owner's chickens. She was nearly euthanized 4 hours after surrender simply because she is an Akita, but, thanks to a friend of our rescue who works with that shelter, she was saved and we were contacted. Pepper is a very sweet girl who is good with adults, kids, other dogs, and the previous owner said cats (though we have not tested that).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper Potts, a Virginia Beach Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
