; *FOSTER UPDATE* 1/8/17- Duchess has been with us over two weeks at this point and has been great. She is the absolute sweetest little girl. Duchess gets along fine with our two resident dogs, a jack Russel mix and the other is a chihuahua mix. Duchess goes potty outside, eats her kibble very well, and is most happy on the couch watching TV snuggled up to a human. However she's also quite happy to go for a walk and is fine on a leash with a harness. When in the house she tends to follow you around but as she has gotten more comfortable in our home I have noticed that she will stay on the couch or in the pet bed if you leave the room. Duchess would make an outstanding companion for anyone but especially an older person who is looking for a calm low-key dog. We don't have young children so I can't say whether she would be good with kids but my guess is that she would be ok, but I have to stress that she is not a hyper dog. We love this little girl but would really like to see her adopted as three permanent dog family members is a little difficult logistically for us. '
