I'm a very active kitten. I love trying to get to new heights, which is why my foster mother makes sure I can't destroy anything. I love trying to climb walls and see if I can catch that stupid little red light. I am very playful and will play with anything I can. I don't always want human attention, but when I do, it's on my time. I don't always meow, but I will
when I want something. I like helping you cook and will try to eat anything that falls to the floor. I'm good with kids, dogs and other cats. I love playing with a kitten my age, but if you want me to want more attention, I'm okay just being an only cat. I'm really loving and playful and I hope
you choose me. I'm sorry if I'm grumpy right now. I don't like being in a cage. I like having room to run and play, so I'm sorry for growling and hissing. I hope you can look past that and give me a forever home.If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at www.caws.org.

About Community Animal Welfare Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Founded in 1992 the Community Animal Welfare Society ( CAWS) is one of the oldest no-kill animal rescues in Utah. Over the last 20 years CAWS, our fosters and supporters have saved thousands of lives including over 600 last this year. As the largest foster home network in the state of Utah we focus on high risk pets in need of additional care and rehabilitation

Come Meet Our Pets...

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.

Our Adoption Process...

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.
