Devi's Story...
When you look at this beautiful girl now, you would never believe how far she's come in just a few months. Devi is a 2 1/2 year old girl that was found by a local resident as a stray in need of help. Devi was emaciated, dehydrated, and had a bite wound on her that was causing infection to set in. Since the bite was of unknown origin, Devi had to wait out the four month quarantine period and during that time, she got lots of good medical and TLC from her caretaker and just look at her now. She is simply beautiful! She is healthy, happy, and ready to begin her life in a happy and loving home. Devi is an absolute sweetheart. She is mellow and easy going, and has such a warm personality. She is outgoing and makes new friends easily. Devi enjoys getting attention and gets all purry as soon as you pet her a little. She gets along just fine with other cats and loves people of all ages too. Devi has waited for quite a while, now it's her turn to get discovered by that wonderful family that will offer her the wonderful life that she deserves. File#26260 5/19/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Devi, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
