About Our Shelter...
FCAC has founded in 2001 and worked with the Town of Cedaredge to provide a no kill animal shelter through 2010. In 2011 FCAC took over the operations of the Shelter.Cedaredge has about 2000 residents. We are the only no kill shelter in Delta County. Voluteers walk the dogs daily and spend time cuddling the cats. We have a foster kitten program to keep kittens healthy and cuddly. Often we have barn cats available when free roaming cats can't be tamed to household living. Our dogs come to us as strays and through relinquishment. They are often lively guys in need of love and manners!! We have 7 dog runs.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We participate in Petsmart Adoption Days at the Grand Junction Colorado store. The Shelter is open Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm. On week-ends hours are 8am - 11am and 3pm-5pm. Or call 970-856-2346 or 970-640-4907 to make an appointment. Other adoption events happen throughout the year.
Our Adoption Process...
We do not require contracts nor home visits. Our process is based on knowing our dogs and cats and matching them to people looking for life long companions. Fees vary from a minimum of $50 for cats and $65 for dogs
