Meet Sophia! This pretty pittie mix is approximately four-years-old and is looking for a loving home! She arrived to the shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. Sophia has some skin allergies that are likely caused by a dietary allergy. She is being treated by our vet services staff, but her adopter will want to follow up with a full-service vet shortly after adoption to ensure she continues to improve! Sophia will also need to be kept on a restricted diet to ensure her skin allergies do not recur. Sophia has lived with small dogs before and loved them-she would love to have another playmate! She needs a home without small children, with lots of room to play, and a comfy dog bed for when she runs out of energy! Olivia is currently spending time in a foster home where she is loving getting some one-on-one attention! If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl, please email an adoption application to email@example.com. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 56 Age: 4yrs 1mths 0wks
Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter. We rescue and rehome close to 5,000 pets each year. Every animal leaves here spayed or neutered and with complete vaccines and a microchip. We have been caring for animals in need since 1908 and envision a time when all adoptable pets have loving homes.
We are extremely proud of our exceptionally high “lives saved” rate of 94%. Through our active adoption, behavior, foster, and veterinary programs, we are able to rehome every adoptable animal that enters our facility. No animal is ever euthanized for lack of space.
In addition to caring for and adopting animals, we also provide spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County, and provide Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to our surrounding municipalities.
