Aaron's Story...
Born 10/30/13 Coming to AHS on Saturday 1/25/14 at 3:00! Aaron is such a wonderful kitten! He is such a beautiful silver tabby with the sweetest personality! Aaron loves to play with his siblings, use the flat scratcher and play with the ball that goes around it, and explore. He also loves to cuddle! Aaron will crawl into your lap or between your legs and cuddle up purring! You really could ask for a sweeter kitten. Aaron has an interesting story. He came to AHS in his mommy?s tummy! I know this doesn?t seem like an exclamation point statement, I mean, AHS takes lots of pregnants cats. However, this pregnant cat was different. We did not take his mom, Katie, as a pregnant cat. We took her and her litter of 5 six week old kittens!! Yes, I said she had 6 week old kittens! This was a first for most of us at AHS! Like many cats that come to AHS from kill shelters, they were scheduled for euthanasia. We think that Katie probably just had litter after litter. When this litter was born, she didn?t have enough milk for all of them, so some had to be bottle fed. I?m not sure how many, if any, would have survived if AHS had not rescued Katie. Adoption Donation $175. All cats are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, FeLV/FIV tested and started on Heartgard Plus; Frontline Plus. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aaron, a Huntley Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntley, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Huntley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntley paves the way for another one to be saved.
