I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
So glad to be here!
Brownie was born about September 20, 2014 and weighs about 13 lbs. He is a sweet, tiny, thing that came to us from a 'repeat supplier'. He loves the dogs, but they receive no vet care and he tends not to keep them long - in with the new, out with the old, I guess. So he is looking for a new home and he is wonderful with the other dogs. He's loving and surely a lap dog. This is about all we know so far as our volunteer didn't spend much time gathering the info, it wasn't a very nice neighborhood. He's a lucky little boy and someone is going to love him to pieces. We like to warn that some of these tiny dogs struggle with house training throughout their lives and may benefit from having potty floor pads handy. Brownie did come with one bad behavior that has all but been corrected. He has sometimes gone after our feet going out the door, but handled the correction well. We just want to mention this in case he starts to revert and will need quick correction. We do feel this will go away forever with time and trust in all humans. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $250.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
