Schroeder is a 2 year old Miniature Pinscher.  He and his companions were rescued from very sad conditions after the owner passed away.  They are currently in a foster/kennel facility and are being evaluated.  He seems to be in good condition/health.  A little nervous upon being transported to foster, but otherwise it seems like he will make a wonderful companion.

Schroeder will be vaccinated and neutered prior to adoption.

UPDATE: After a couple days at the kennel, the staff noticed that Schroeder is one of the more timid of the 5. He is not snippy or growly and not a flight risk.  When he is unsure of a situation, he seems to sit back (which is what he was doing in the pictures), may tremble a bit, but just waits a bit and assess his surroundings. He actually just layed down after a bit and watched us.

Schroeder is the first of the five to go to a foster home. It didn't take him long to find a comfy spot in the middle of the bed!  He is crate trained, working on his leash manners, and perfecting his house training skills.  He enjoys the company of canine foster sister and did well meeting cats and children.  His foster mom says he is a big lap dog!

Identifier:  Blue Haven Collar, long tail, erect ears

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do many events throughout the year with our foster dogs in attendance. Please check our online calendar frequently to see where you can visit us.

Our Adoption Process...

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are $175 for Puppies; $225 for Adults; and, for Senior Dogs it will be determined on a case by case basis.
