* SPECIAL NEEDS BOXER- Needs the right home for her needs.....
* 9/2/16--CAMPUS, 5.5 years old, (DOB 11/3/10), 53 lbs was returned to us as family was no longer able to keep her. She went back to her foster home where Foster Dad was the one who rescued her from Texarkana A & M campus almost 2 years ago. There are dogs, cats and kids in her foster home. She is timid and scared but hope will adjust with time. She got up to date on rabies and shots today. She is heartworm negative, spayed, and got meds for hookworms.. She is microchipped. She has a sweet personality. She likes other dogs but is leery of them and not bonding with dogs in the foster home yet. She needs time to adjust to losing her home and all the changes. She has been to PetsMart for one lesson and we had to pry her out of the van, but on harness got her to walk into PetsMart and walk around. She wanted the young workers in there to pet her. Not as sure with men but not showing aggression. She shuts down and cowers down quickly to try to cope. She is beautiful and needs a lot of work but once she knows you are okay you are her best friend. We can see her silly personality and just needs time for her to gain confidence. Since she was rescued from a puppy mill at age 2, there are a lot of issues. We also know we have had dogs with worse issues get adopted to awesome patient adopters willing to work on the issues.
