LIGC was formed by a small group of volunteers devoted to finding loving homes for retired racing only. We are breed specific. We do not operate a kennel, but provide these fabulous greyhounds the stability, care and comfort through loving a foster homes. Fostering helps us evaluate the personality of each dog prior to matching them with their new family. LIGC provides superior knowledge and support for all`greyhound adopters. Once you adopt from LIGC we stay "Connected"

Our Adoption Process...
After an application is received the potential adopter will be contacted for a home visit to exchange information that will help in determining if a greyhound is the right fit for your family. At this home visit, you will have the benefit of over 50 years of combined knowledge from experienced adoption reps. All of your questions will be answered.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
