Facts about Fatty

  • Breed: Chow Chow Mix
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10806924-155381
Fatty really is not overweight, in fact, he could stand to gain a few pounds! He IS very furry and fluffy, and a teddy bear face, which makes him especially cute. He was one of the 140 dogs rescued by Haywood County Animal Services on Nov. 5, and is one of the more timid dogs in the bunch. He has settled in to life at Sarge's Adoption Center, and we expect he'll do fine in a new home given some TLC and patience from his new family. Please submit the application available online if you're interested in adopting and we'll contact you ASAP!

About Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to save healthy adoptable animals in the Haywood County Animal Control facility from euthanasia. We take highly adoptable dogs and cats from the shelter and foster them in private homes until an adoptive family can be found. Our goal is a center where adoptable dogs and cats will receive loving care until they can be adopted to permanent homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets are in foster homes, and the contact information is listed with the pet's description. Adoption day events will be publicized on our website, www.sargeandfriends.org, as they are scheduled.

Our Adoption Process...

To adopt a fostered pet, you will have to complete an application, have an interview and home visit, and pay an adoption fee. All foster animals are spayed or neutered, are on flea preventative, and all shots current. Dogs are tested for heartworm and are on heartworm preventative, cats are tested for feline leukemia. The adoption fee for cats is $50 and for dogs it's $100
