BLAZE – AVAILABLE

Well hello there! My name is Blaze and I am 3 years old.  I think you should fill out an application on me because I am just THAT awesome. Oh, and because I will want to love you forever and ever. I am a big boy, I came into the foster program at 101 lbs. but have been slimming down. I just love all the treats and will do anything for them! I know sit, paw, other paw and lay down. My lay down is more of a “THUMP!” at times but I get the idea of it…as long as I get a treat! I like to go for walks and runs (I’m pretty good on the leash) but if I see a dog friend I just have to go visit them! I’m very sociable with humans and fur animals but due to my size I’d probably do better with kids over the age of 10 – I don’t want to knock anyone over. Speaking of fur animals, I currently have an orange tabby cat roommate, he usually doesn’t want to be bothered by me, so I just sniff him and leave him be. I do love to try to catch all those small animals outside though, so I definitely need a fence. I will also cry at my neighbor’s dogs because there is a fence between us and I want to go visit and play all the time. I don’t bark at them, but they bark at me. I’m working on my manners as I don’t realize how large I am. My foster mom keeps telling me that socks are not a toy – but WHATEVER – she likes to chase me around the house trying to get them from me…although…I’ve noticed I haven’t been able to find as many recently. Hmm. I like to lay on area rugs and watch my humans at a distance, but the moment you go to another room, I’m right there with you! I also live with my foster mom’s black lab. We love to wrestle and play. He lets me know when he’s had enough play as sometimes I just get so excited to romp around. I would be great for a human that has previous GSD experience, as I am quite the large and in charge character. So won’t you fill out an application on me today – if you live in NC, VA or MD? (Because I’m AWESOME...and I have all the love to give!)

In the final picture I'm getting into the Holiday spirit and wearing my elf costume.  Won't you bring me home for the holidays.

Blaze is currently being fostered in Maryland.

Blaze is available for adoption to residents of MD, VA & NC
