Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ms. Ethel, a sweet, gentle 14 year old who wants nothing more than a family of her own in time for the holidays.
Ethel was found in a feral cat colony in dire condition. At under 4lbs, she was nothing more than a skeleton with patchy fur and a thyroid gland ten times normal size. Blood work showed uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, which we began treatment for immediately. With a warm bath, soft blankets, and lots of love, Ethel settled right in.
It's been over a month since her arrival, and she has already shown drastic improvement. Ethel's thyroid levels, while not within normal limits, have decreased, and with some weight gain and coat improvement she's beginning to look less like a skeleton and more like the elegant cat she was meant to be.
Ethel would do well in a home with gentle children and animals (dogs and cats included), lots of bed, and an abundance of wet food. She will need ongoing medical treatment, but takes her daily medication without complaint. While Ethel's challenges are not over, she is ready to find her forever family to share her love and endless purring with.
