Pearl is a very lucky puppy.  She, her mama, and her two siblings were abandoned by the side of the road and all of them were brought to a local shelter.  They were in very bad shape, starving, covered in mange and worms.  Rescue Ridge and an amazing foster stepped up to save them and they are in their wonderful  foster home, getting well cared for.  They are being treated for mange and were dewormed.  They are gaining weight and all of them are doing quite well.  Pearl is a typical puppy, sweet, playful, gentle.  She has stunning blue eyes and will make a fabulous family member.  As of the week of Nov. 13, 2016, she is about 7 weeks old.   Please apply to adopt Pearl  in central N. J. at:  rescueridge.com and text:  732 546 8805 or email:  rescueridgeshelter@gmail.com for a meet and greet.  Here is a video clip of the puppies playing:   https://www.facebook.com/jenna.ruddy/videos/10210603209614967/https://www.facebook.com/jenna.ruddy/videos/10210603209614967/

About Rescue Ridge

About Our Rescue Group...

Rescue Ridge is a 'last-chance' rescue. Staffed 100% through the efforts and donations of volunteers, we find homes for animals that other shelters and people have given up on. Through the kindness of various boarding kennels and foster families, rescued animals are cared for until they find that final family to love them.

Rescue Ridge began by rescuing healthy, beautiful, animals that were slated to be euthanized through no fault of their own. We felt it was unfair, that because their 'humans' had no more use for them, their days were numbered. We have tried to give each and every one of these companions a new lease on life. We rescued dogs, cats, horses and any other animal that we were able to help with our limited resources. And since we have limited space, we are always searching for those willing to help foster these wonderful creatures. We are always happy to provide information on options available to anyone needing to re-home their pet for whatever reason. It is our belief that education regarding pet ownership and its responsibilities is the best hope these companions have. You will have unending rewards when you give a second chance to one of these wonderful friends. They truly are the champions of giving unconditional love.

Our Adoption Process...

Just contact us at rescueridgeshelter@gmail.com, or call us at 732-681-3450, and we will be happy to provide you with an adoption application and, upon review of personal reference checks, vet checks, and possibly home visits, you may be chosen as a permanent home for that special companion. Please note that filling out an application does NOT automatically approve anyone for a specific adoption. We want to assure that the companion and adoptive family are each going to benefit from the adoption, and that it is as permanent an adoption as possible. We ask for help through donations to help cover the costs associated with keeping the companions up-to-date on vaccinations and spay/neuter programs. We request a donation of $100 for cats, and $200 - $400 for dogs, depending on the specific rescue. We are a tax-exempt organization so that any donation you make to Rescue Ridge is tax deductible, and all costs go directly to all of the animals we rescue.
