Doc Holiday - Classic Collection

Yellow Male Age 8

Hello Ladies, Doc Holiday here and I'll be your Huckleberry!  After spending my time as an outdoor bachelor, I am ready to trade it all in to be your four legged House-Honey.  While I may not be able to wine and dine you, I do promise to be loyal and true, to give you kisses when you are blue.  You have children you say?  Well, I will adopt them as my own and no dog will love them as much as me!  And men, don't be intimated by my suave good looks and take a second look - I am a Chick Magnet.  With me by your side, you will be an instant hit with the ladies.

Now my previous owner did not understand or value me, to him, I was just 'a dog '.  How sad is that?  He just didn't get that I have more personality, integrity, empathy and loyalty in one paw than he had in his whole body.   And he left me in the backyard where I got more and more ill - just like Doc Holliday.  Then, when my illness became too much to explain away to his cronies, he took me to a shelter to be euthanized.   And after all my loyalty to him!  But not to fear for me!  I charmed a good Samaritan who contacted these awesome match-makers called the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno.  They took one look at me and knew instantly that I had much more life left to give and live and just knew the right family was out there looking for me to complete their life.  So they took me in, and all of a sudden, little ol' me had the winning hand!  Just in the nick of time it would seem as I had to go immediately for a 3-day 'spa-day' at the local veterinarian to ensure I lived to see another day!

You see, I have diabetes and am getting over pancreatitis - cataracts too.  Can't see real well at all, and I need two shots a day, but other than that, I am one grateful pup!  Sit, shake, walk on a leash like a perfect Gentleman, I am worth every dog hair.   My face may be a graying, but my heart is pure gold.  Heck, a little more spit and polish and I will be your perfect Huckleberry!  And if deep down, you have the heart of a rescue human, there are few needing rescue more than me!  Adopt me, love me, I guarantee I will never forget .. but neither will you.   What are you waiting for?  Why are you still reading?  Hurry up and put in your application so we can begin our life together!

Doc is available for adoption through the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno.  He loves people and kids, dogs and gets along with cat and has the sweetest temperament you can imagine.  Doc will require a special commitment to ensure he gets his twice a day insulin shots and a prescribed diet.  With the proper care, Doc has many more moons of love to share with a special family.  If you are interested in adopting Doc, please fill out an application at our website http://cclabrescuecvc.org/  And to all of you who are part of the solution, we cannot say it enough - Thank You from the bottom of our hearts.  Spread the Word: Adopt, Spay and Neuter, Foster, Volunteer, Donate.  While we can't change the world, we can change the world for a dog, one dog at a time!

If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped.
