Mr. Miagi is an outgoing 2-year-old retriever mix with a thoughtful facial expression; he seems always to be intently watching what's going on around him through his almond-shaped eyes. Mr. Miagi was brought to us as a stray and is a sweet dog who seeks human affection. Mr. Miagi, who weighs 49 lbs. and has been neutered, did well in his behavioral assessment with our dog trainer, who thinks he'll do best as his home's only dog and he does not like all men. Mr. Miagi is very motivated by dog treats, appears to be crate trained, and seems to want nothing more during walks than to lean on his handler, hoping for a good pet/massage. We think he will be an ideal choice for someone ready for an active young dog. Mr. Miagi is spending quality time in a foster home with experienced dog handlers. This is a bonus for you because you can find out how he does in a household setting. Please send email to friends@metrodetroitanimals.org, or call 313.943.2697 to find out how you can meet/adopt Mr. Miagi. ~ MEET YOUR MATCH: ORANGE / GOOFBALL ~ All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (if at least 6 months old), and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations.

For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.dearbornanimals.org.
