Felix's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Felix's Story...
I LOVE: being in the middle of the action…you can find me in the middle of the kitchen at supper time, sitting in your lap, playing with my doggie friends, treats, other animals and warm baths
I HAVE: a laid back personality, a feathery curly tail that swishes when I walk, lots of affection to share and perfect house manners
I GET ALONG WITH: everyone including kitties, chickens and kids!
I WOULD RATHER NOT: ever be left to fend for myself again…that was too scary
I NEED: a home that will keep me groomed and protected because I have a vision impairment…don’t worry too much though, my nose makes up for a lot and I can get around just fine

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Felix, a Austin Shih Tzu/Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Pekingese for sale in Austin, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Pekingese dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Pekingese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
