George's Info...

I am up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

George's Story...
George was found abandoned as a 2 week old kitten. He had all kinds of challenges, and fought through them all to survive. He is a fabulous, friendly, kitten. He is curious about everything, and just wants to be loved, and know what you are doing. We recommend he be adopted into a home with another non-dominant kitty, to help him adjust. He needs a buddy, so why not adopt a friend too. We estimate he was born July 9, 2016.

George is a short, thick coated tabby. He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, he has received his first and second distemper and leukemia vaccines, as well as his 1 year rabies vaccine. He will need neutered sometime in mid December. He has been treated for fleas and wormed. His adoption fee is an all inclusive veterinary package, so the balance of his initial medical needs will be covered under our plan.

We do require a veterinarian reference prior to adoption, and we do require you bring a cat carrier for transport home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Ashland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
