Facts about Thunder

  • Breed: Border Collie/Flat-Coated Retriever Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Thunder is a sweet "gentle giant" and beautiful, funny boy. His favorite ways to spend the day are hanging and playing with his puppy pal (a 10 mo. old Dachshund/Terrier girl) or going for walks and then snuggling on the couch or at the feet of his person to re-energize after a busy day. This guy is 55 lbs., very handsome, and looks just like a big black bear :-)

Thunder is a perfect gentleman, wonderful around other dogs (see attached video) but needs to be in a home without cats. He really enjoys his walks and despite his age (born 6/2007), has lots of spunk in him and his doggie doc says he's in perfect health. You will need to be patient with him as you earn his trust but he's a happy boy with a lovely personality. Quite the character! Thunder will always be a mellow guy and therefore would do best in an adult-only, low-key home where he can chill with his people but also get adequate exercise to maintain his great physique.

If you're looking for a mature, loyal companion and forever friend with great manners and a very sweet disposition, Thunder is the dog for you! He's well-past the crazy puppy stage, neutered, micro-hipped, housebroken, crate-trained, rides great in the car, LOVES to snuggle, and is up-to-date on all vaccinations (rabies, DA2PP, bordatella, and is heartworm negative).

Thunder is being lovingly fostered in Renton and when inquiring about him, please share a bit of information about yourself, your home environment, what interests you about him, etc. Thank you!
