Covie in CT's Story...
It is with great pleasure that we introduce to you our newest local rescue, Covie. She is very tiny at her full grown weight of 33 lbs and her knee high stature. Covie has had a terribly rough life and it's only been 2-3 years that's she's been alive.

Unthinkably, Covie was tossed out of a car into a mostly abandoned area in the north end of Hartford. She has had multiple litters, most recently 10-12 weeks ago. But don't let her past stand in the way of her future, as this perfect lady is a lover of dogs of all ages and sizes. She also loves people, children and adults alike!

Covie is getting some much deserved TLC in her foster home. Only the best from here forward Covie!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Covie in CT, a East Hartford American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in East Hartford, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in East Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
