Cooper is an adorable dog who loves to play and go for walks. He is 8 years old, 60 lbs., neutered and up to date on vaccination. He loves to snuggle up next to your feet after a long day. Nothing is better when he comes up to you and lays his head in your lap and looks up at you with his beautiful goldish brown eyes seeking a head scratch. This dog is a sweet heart who just loves to be with his people. He's not right for a family with very young children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cooper - Courtesy listing, a Gig Harbor Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Gig Harbor, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Gig Harbor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gig Harbor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gig Harbor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gig Harbor paves the way for another one to be saved.
