HISTORY: DUCHESS was originally part of a transfer of cats from the Farmington Animal Shelter to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter; this wonderful cat has tested “discordant” for the the FELV virus. However, she is healthy and ready for a home with no other cats until DUCHESS.  She should be retested in February 2018. In many cases, the virus causing the discordant test results ultimately passes through the cat and is no longer present.
TEMPERAMENT: Very playful, inquisitive, social and affectionate, DUCHESS is a wonderful girl who will make a wonderful addition to the home.  She is a beautiful Oriental short hair mix with a short cream-and-orange coat and flame point markings with blue eyes.

* cats are rotated weekly between foster homes and display
* adoption room to visit the cats during regular store hours
* cages are locked if no volunteer in attendance
* Adoption Advisors available Thursday through Sunday 1pm-4pm or by appointment

Secondary: Teca Tu @ Sanbusco Market Center
500 Montezuma Ave, Santa Fe
* meet the special cat who lives at the store until adopted

* First Saturday of the month at Sanbusco 10am - 1pm
* special adoption events around Santa Fe as advertised
