Hi there.  My name is Tiger and I am a female dog estimated to be 1-2 years old and possibly a Mountain Cur.  That sounds like a cool breed so I'll go along with that.

I was found along a busy road the end of October.  After an exhaustive search my family did not come forward to claim me so I am searching for another family.  I hope that will be with you.

I am a very nice girl.  I LOVE attention from the volunteers here at the shelter.  I love going for walks (although I am a little strong on a leash, but we're working on that), and I love being petted and I love running.  I am a climber, so I will need to have either a lot of land to run on, or a 'climb-proof' fence!

I know there is a family out there for me and I hope that is with you.

Tiger resides at a rescue organization in Arkansas. Please contact Gail Ross at 870-431-8229, or via email at to discuss this dog. You can find our adoption application by going to and clicking on the Adoption Application tab. The application, when completed and submitted, will be electronically sent to Gail’s email address. If you live on the East Coast, we work with a wonderful transport company that takes extra special care of the precious cargo that they deliver to anxious new families. Here is a link to their Route 1 schedule.

About Ozark Mutts and Stuff, Inc R.I

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of people in Arkansas trying desperately to save dogs from euthanasia, being hit by cars, abused by their owners, etc. We have many, many HIGH kill shelters in this state. We rescue dogs almost every day and we try to find them real homes that will love them and make them part of their families.

We make sure our dogs are good dogs before we offer them for adoption. We make every effort to match the dog with the right adopter. We do home visits to make sure that it is a proper home and the family is going to be a proper match with the dog. We also do phone interviews with the applicants so we can get to know the adopter and they can get to know us. We also give you our vet reference so you can call them and ask about our

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs are fostered in Arkansas and other states until we can find them the perfect forever home.

We do allow out of state adoptions and we can transport them to your area.

Our Adoption Process...

If you need more information on one of our dogs or cats please call or email. We will be happy to tell you all about them.

Call or email us for an adoption application. Complete the adoption application and return.

Fenced in yard is preferred for anyone adopting a dog

If adopting a cat, the adopter must agree that the cat will stay indoors all the time as all of our cats are strictly inside cats.

Veterinarian reference

All dogs and cats in the household must be spayed/neutered

References listed on this application will be checked & we do require a HOME VISIT PRIOR to any adoption.

Our main goal is to make the best possible match between the dog and the adopter.

Adoptions are not on a first come first serve basis.
Please be aware that we do require an application, veterinary references and do HOME CHECKS BEFORE placing our dogs.

There is a minimum adoption donation which helps us to offset veterinary costs (YES, THE VETS DO CHARGE US & IT IS NOT CHEAP!) for the dog you adopt and so that we can continue to help OTHERS in need.

All of our dogs receive any necessary medical treatment, are up to date on their shots (based on age) and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

If renting, a copy of the Landlord/Lease Agreement stating that pets are allowed, what type of pets, size of pets are allowed and how many pets allowed. If a pet deposit is required, proof that the deposit has been paid is also required.

Ozark Mutts and Stuff is soley interested in adopting our Furkids to good homes and not to make a profit on any adoption. You can pay using our paypal account, money order, certified check or make payment directly to our vet.

We will transport dogs to the New England area. We also have sources to transport dogs to other parts of the county.

Please remember, you are not paying for the dog. You are helping to offset some of the costs associated with spaying and neutering; heartworm testing and preventative; basic vaccines and parasite control; and shelter fees where applicable. Also, there are many dogs that come to us with problems that have expensive veterinary bills, i.e. heartworm treatment, broken legs, mange. After adoption we are always available to assist and advise our adoptive families in every way we can. If for any reason an adoption does not work out, we want the animal back.
