Adelaide's Story...
My name is Adelaide and I'm just about the sweetest thing you will ever encounter. I have one beautiful blue eye and one chocolaty brown that make me quite the looker! All I want is for you to love me and I will do my very best to behave and take care of you. Petting and cuddling are my two favorite things, paws down. I've got a little hitch in my rear giddy-up but that doesn't stop me from bouncing around like a pup when I see a leash or going on long walks! (P.S.-- I am new to the leash and am getting better by the day but sometimes I still forget my manners. So I apologize in advance if I pull a little hard.) Recently I learned that cats can be family, not just entertaining to chase, and while I am still quite interested in them I will respect the house rules and leave them be. Inside I am happy to lounge around on my bed and be mellow. Outside I like to sleep, explore my territory, and chase squirrels. When you meet me you will find me eager to please and very adaptable to your life and home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Adelaide, a The Dalles Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in The Dalles, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in The Dalles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in The Dalles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a The Dalles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in The Dalles paves the way for another one to be saved.
