Ozzie's Story...
Ozzie is a 2-4 year old 11 pound male Malti-Poo or similar mix. He has white hair and it is soft like that of a Maltese. He has a long tail with a kink in it at the end. Ozzie is very good natured and cuddly. He wants to go where you go, so can be a door darter when you leave the house, so caution is advised.

We don't know all of Ozzie's history, but his long canine teeth all have been broken off. This can happen if a dog catches rocks in his mouth, among other reasons. His feet have been stained, suggesting that he might have been kept outdoor in a urine-soaked pen for some time. When his new hair grows back, the brown staining will go away with the help of a scissor.

Ozzie demonstrated great patience with his grooming, including a lot of tugging at the many mats that had formed all over his body. He was cooperative, and seemed glad that the mats were going away, freeing him to move and see better.

Ozzie has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. His adoption fee is $250.00.

If you are interested in adopting this cutie, please write us at and ask for an application to adopt. We are a foster-home based organization, and the adoption process starts when you submit your application. Once that has been approved, we can schedule a time for you to meet Ozzie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ozzie, a Atlanta Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
