3 year old, Spayed female, German Shepherd/Spaniel Mix (best guess) 65 lb.
Bella Boo was picked up by an animal shelter in East Tennessee as a stray. She was suffering from demodectic mange, and had very little hair. The shelter needed a rescue to pull her out and get her healed up and adoptable, so Bella became a rescue dog. That was in early July of this year. After several months, two boarding facilities, and a great foster home later, Bella is a beautiful, happy, healthy girl! She is ready to find her forever home now.
Here's a little bit about Bella from her foster mom:
"Bella Boo is just a big softie. Literally. Her fur is so soft you just want to snuggle up to her. She loves to snuggle and be loved on. She sleeps in the bed with us, but she also loves the couch and loveseat. She loves to give kisses, and she does a cute little jumpy dance on her tiptoes when she’s excited. She loves to play with our Mountain Cur. Her favorite toy is a rope….big, small, short, long, any kind. She loves to play tug-of-war. She will sit for a “cookie”. She likes to play in the dirt and often has a dusty snout. Bella Boo is such a sweet girl. If we had the resources, she would be staying with us. But with 6 other dogs, we’re already a bit cramped. She’d do best in a home with at least one other dog to play with. She has come such a long way health wise, and she deserves the very best home where she will be spoiled and put first every single day of her life. We have so enjoyed having her in our pack. It is going to be heart-wrenching to watch her go, but we know her people are out there waiting for her. "
Bella Boo did have minor surgery to remove two (2) infected lymph nodes on her lower belly (pathology came back clear!!). She has had occasional spells of incontinence during the night (likely due to previous spay), but they are rare (usually only once or twice a month). She was on Proin briefly, and it can be gotten relatively cheaply from a vet should someone want to continue her on it. Bella Boo is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, up-to-date on monthly preventatives, and spayed. She weighs approximately 65 pounds. Her estimated DOB to is 06/30/13. Her adoption fee is only $200, because we want her to have her forever home by Christmas!
