Cookies! Cookies! Oh wait… I am Cookie! I am approximately 3 - 3.5 years old. I came into the Los Alamos County Animal Shelter as an owner surrender. My mom was in the hospital and I had no family members that could take my brother and I. Recently my brother got adopted and is totally loving his new home, but I'm still here waiting. The staff says that the right family will come in for me soon! I sure hope so, to be honest I am having some anxiety here at the shelter. The staff says I'm an escape artist, I say that I just don't like to be left alone outside. I can climb chain link, so I would need a tall fence that I can't climb out of or something that has wood or cement bricks?.. But mostly I just want to be inside with you! My previous owners said that I am good with other dogs, but since I have been at the shelter I have become a little bit dog selective. So it would be best for me to meet my potential furry family members before I come home with you. I am food motivated I hear the trainers say that this makes me learn quickly. since I have been staying here at the shelter I have learned how to walk on a leash, I know what come means, I will sit on command, I love to go for car rides and I am learning what lay down means! Ohh and I go potty outside! (Apparently this is a really good thing, especially since most humans don't do it!) I really like to make me person happy. I have also been doing a lot of nose work and that is so fun! For more information about me please call the Los Alamos County Animal Shelter at 505-662-8179.
