Bucky (aka Buckwheat)'s Story...
Buckwheat is a really great dog, always happy and wagging his tail. He looks like a tibetan spaniel mix and we think he is approx 5-7 years old. He weighs 27 lbs, and has a goofy smile with a cute semi underbite. He does well on a leash, seems to be pretty well house trained and gets along with all of the other dogs. He does like being with people and wants to be where you are, so would not do well being left alone all day or in an apt as he likes company. He tested positive for heart worms was properly treated. He has also been started on heart guard monthly.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/b

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bucky (aka Buckwheat), a Allentown Tibetan Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Tibetan Spaniel for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Tibetan Spaniel dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Tibetan Spaniel breeders who help with Tibetan Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
