Facts about Minx

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
DOB: November 1, 2014
Minx is a quiet girl who loves to just sit back and watch us all as we go about our days. She loves to be pet on her head and will smoosh her head into your face for kisses.

Minx showed up in my driveway and wouldn't let my car pull into the driveway....it was like she was begging me to help her, feed her and keep her safe.

Minx loves attention at her choosing...she will bat at your hand when she's had enough. She has a strong personality and would do best as the only cat in the home. She has been in a large cage in my home and has gotten used to dogs interested in her from outside the cage but when she comes out she tends to hide.

Minx will need time to acclimate to her surroundings but once she does she is such a loving girl.

About Toronto Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Toronto Cat Rescue is a registered, no-kill charity run by volunteers.

Our mission is to rescue and find homes for abandoned, sick or injured cats from situations of abuse, neglect or imminent euthanasia.

Our vision is for Toronto to be a city in which no adoptable cat is killed and rescue organizations such as Toronto Cat Rescue are no longer needed.

Our registered charity number: 889-198-727-RR-0001

Our Adoption Process...

Decided on the cat or kitten you would like to adopt? Please call 416-538-8592, or email adopt@torontocatrescue.ca.

An adoption counsellor will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a "purr-fect" fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.

You will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your cat home with you in a safe carrying case.

Adoption fee is $175 per cat. This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. It includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!

Note:

1. ALL senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopters choice, vs. our standard adoption fee of $175.

2. Our adoption fee for a bonded pair is $100 per cat, vs. $175 per cat.
