Oscar's Story...
Hi, my name is OSCAR and I am a 6 year old brown tabby with white MAINE COON mix male with STRIKING GOOD LOOKS and an impressive FLUFFY tail. Not too long ago, I was rescued from a horrible hoarding situation where many cats, including myself, were living under very poor conditions. I am grateful to Posh Pets for getting me out of that terrible place and giving me sanctuary. Currently, I’m being cared for in a nice foster home where my foster parents have gotten to know me. Here’s what they have said about me: “Oscar is a QUIET and GENTLE boy who will PURR and PURR once he warms up in his new surroundings and feels COMFORTABLE. He is GOOD with other CATS too. He just LOVES his catnip toys and can’t seem to get enough of them.” Are you the one to give me my HAPPILY EVER AFTER? Let’s meet! I am neutered, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative.

To meet me, fill out the CAT ADOPTION APPLICATION at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Long Beach Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
