Dak's Story...
Hello world, my name is Dak.
I am an 6 month old boxer mix puppy who found my way into the high-kill Memphis pound through no fault of my own. See, my previous owner "surrendered " me to the city pound when they could no longer care for me. They even wrote a note and asked the pound not to euthanize me.

I was just sitting there in my kennel, when along came a lovely lady with a rescue. She got me out and fell in love with my sweet nature. I am now living in a foster home, where I am getting lots of love. I love the dog park and love playing with my foster dad's cat.

Some of my favorite things to do are read over your shoulder, go for car rides, take a nap with my person, long walks and I do love a nice meal in my tummy. My adoption fee is $500 and includes my neuter surgery, microchip, all up to date vaccines, de-worming, monthly heart worm prevention to date, health certificate and transportation from Memphis to your area upon adoption.

Let me know if you would like an adoption application!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dak, a Hagerstown Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
