Heidi's is so young to have her heart broken already, but that's just what happened. Her first family brought her to an Emergency vet clinic one weekend when she wasn't feeling well and left her there for treatment . . . but never returned to pick her up. She remained at the clinic for about 2 weeks waiting, taken under the wing of the entire vet staff who fell in love with such a gentle soul. At the end of the 2 weeks, usually unwanted black dogs are killed right away, but Heidi is so sweet we have to believe there is a home for her somewhere. Heidi is now being fostered in a wonderful, loving family with a foster mom and dad who are rebuilding her confidence, and a bunch of dogs who she loves playing with. She can be a little shy at first, but give her just a few minutes to get her bearings and she is all about having a great time with everyone. She's got plenty of puppy energy and excitement, and she's smart enough to do very well at obedience training. We're not sure what her mix is, but one of her parents must have been a water dog -- just watch her video!!! Heidi is about 9 - 10 months old which means she's nearly full grown at just about 35 pounds, and she's a very healthy girl. If you can open your heart and promise Heidi a home forever, please visit www.pinkshelter.org for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting and spay included in her $375 adoption fee. Transport fee is additional $140. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE
