Gracie is a public listing, not officially part of the CAAWS program. We are assisting her caretaker in re-homing her. If you have the patience to give to shy, sweet, pretty Gracie the chance she so deserves & are interested in giving her a loving home please contact Michael Rojas at 225-205-1170 or themichaelrojas@gmail.com.

Help! We've been living in our Mom's gutted out house since the flood. We miss her, but she's ill so had to go live at an assisted living home, so now my other cat friends & I need new homes :(

Gracie was rescued as a kitten. She lives indoors only and is declawed. She's a very sweet girl, but may have been traumatized prior to rescue, as she's always been a bit shy & slow to trust.  She'll hide & after some time may eventually curl up nearby. It takes a lot of patience but once she decides to warm up it's so rewarding! After that she may decide to jump into your lap for a nap. Victory!!! When she has to be picked up or taken to the vet she'll squirm as if her life depends on it! When it's all over she may hide for a while, but she will calm down and come back around. She's generally very calm. She lives with several other cats (who also need homes) so if introduced properly should do fine with cat friends.
