The Sanctuary at Haafsville is an organization that grew out of a group of successful individuals who wanted to better the welfare of animals in the Lehigh Valley. We were blessed with a donation of 8 acres of land and are designing and building a sanctuary that will be animal based, human services oriented and environmentally sound. We also utilize foster homes for our animals and have 5 satellite locations for our cats and kittens.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We participate in adoption events throughout the Lehigh Valley, doing adoption days at local pet stores, and have pets availalbe to be seen at foster homes. We have adoptions every Saturday from 10-2 at our shelter for cats, kittens and dogs. Puppies are all at foster home and prior arrangements must be made to meet puppies.
Our Adoption Process...
Once an adopter meets a cat or dog that they have fallen in love with and it is mutual, an application is required. Sometimes the adoption will occur the same day, but sometimes it can not due to insufficient information or the need to do more reference connections. Adoption fees for cats are $65 and kittens are $85. including neuter/spay. Seniors give a good will offering that they are comfortable with, for both cats and dogs. Dog adoption fees are $250 for adults (1yr and up), who are all neutered, and $350 for puppies, and you receive a $100 refundable neuter/spay deposit back with proof of neuter/spay, which is required by law in Pennsylvania.. The most important requirement is a love of the animal and the ability to be able to appropriately provide the necessary love, medical care and food.
