My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Katrina … but my foster family calls me Katie.

I am a happy, friendly, energetic, playful bundle of smiles! There isn’t anybody or anything I don’t love. Everyone I meet is a friend and everything I see and do is a wonderful adventure! I love playing with people and other dogs but I’m ok by myself too.

I enjoy playing with my canine foster brothers. They are so much fun. We play tug-of-war and wrestle and chase each other. I’m really fast … faster than both of the boys!!! I also love playing with my human foster sister and brother. They will throw a toy and I’ll chase after it. That’s a lot of fun but I also love it when they pet me and scratch my back. That feels so good! And I love the attention!

I’m also a very curious girl. I love seeing what everyone is up to and how things work. The world is filled with so many fantastic adventures and I don’t want to miss any of them! And I have enough energy to do them all!!!!

Cuddling is one of my favorite things to do with my human foster sister. She loves it when I sleep with her at night and I love keeping her company.

My foster family tells me I’m very intelligent. I learned that I’m supposed to go potty outside in 3 days! Speaking of my foster family, I love running to the door when they come home. I get so excited to see them that I forget my manners and jump on them. Well, you see, I’m not trying to jump on them. Instead I’m trying to give them puppy kisses. I’m the best at giving puppy kisses. Aren’t you supposed to kiss someone when they come home? Besides, I’m only 37 pounds so I’m not all that big, right?

My foster mommy said that I have to tell you my faults too. Personally, I don’t think I have any. I’m like Mary Poppins, I’m practically perfect in every way! But … because I’m so happy and excited, I sometimes (ok, most of the time) forget that I’m not supposed to pull the leash when we go for a walk. Also, I’m working on going potty outside. I haven’t had any accidents in a couple days so I think I have that mastered but you might have to remind me when I’m at your house.

What I want most of all is a forever home with a fun family or person that I can love forever and ever. So, if you think I might make a good addition to your family please let the people at Dogworks know by going to www.dogworksohio.com and filling out an application. There’s no cost and no obligation to fill out an application. However, there is a small adoption fee of $175 to help cover the cost of my vaccinations, spaying, microchipping, etc. which are all done!
